the 2018 PDCA Safety Achievement Award.

Every employee is as important to the company as they are to their family, because they are all a part of the "Meyer Coatings" family.
Safety is our primary concern, so every employee is issued a "Safety Binder" that must be carried with them at all times. This binder contains copies of all certifications they have earned, all company safety programs and directives, and any relevant safety notices.
In addition, every Meyer Coatings' foreman carries a company cell phone, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher, and is also familiarized with the nearest location for first aid. Every employee also has their own safety harness, ladders, respirators, hard hat, boots, badged uniform shirts, and painter whites. And finally, all safety equipment is inspected annually and replaced at the first sign of wear.
Everyone at Meyer Coatings Inc. accepts and embraces the safety of ourselves and each other. It is this care and concern that accounts for our outstanding safety record.
Meyer Coatings' commitment to safety includes an annual 40 hour safety training for each field employee, and in some cases additional job specific training for Bank of America SEWA, Boeing and Northrup, Gruman badgeing requirements,
JPL safety classes, and VA safety.
Additionally, all employees attend a monthly safety meeting where procedures are reviewed, new procedures are rolled out, conditions on different jobs sites are discussed, and outstanding safety efforts are recognized. Weekly meetings are also held on all job sites, using information furnished by the PDCA, our Worker's Compensation carrier, and other trade sources.
Our goal at Meyer Coatings Inc. is to not only be a great company to work for, but more importantly a great and "safe" company to work with.
